Protection of Performers
In addition to copyright, Performers' rights also subsist under copyright law in respect of live performances:

of a dramatic work or part thereof,

of a musical work or part thereof,
-
of a dance,
-
of a circus act or a variety act,
-
in relation to expressions of folklore,
-
pertaining to the reading, recitation or delivery of a literary work or part thereof,
that are given in Malaysia, whether before an audience or otherwise.
